Saxation is an ensemble that was formed to enable young saxophonists from across the Wakefield area to share their enthusiasm for playing the instrument. The ensemble aims to develop pupils' jazz skills in a range of musical styles including swing, blues, rock and funk. There are also opportunities for pupils to learn to improvise in a friendly and informal environment. Saxation perform regularly at theYorkshire Sculpture Park and Manygates Music Centre.
