Wakefield schools actively support the professional development of newly qualified teachers and the LA offers an exciting induction programme that will meet the needs and maximise the potential of every newly qualified teacher.

NQTs have an entitlement to a well-structured and supportive induction programme and in return have a responsibility to adopt a professional, reflective and self-evaluative approach to their work.

Wakefield is one of very few Authorities that continues to offer a full core and complementary training programme for NQTs during their Induction year.
